Anti Eddy Current Assemblies
Short Description:
Under the trend of high speed and high frequency, NdFeb and SmCo magnets have low resistivity, resulting in eddy current loss and high heat generation. At present, there is no practical solution to substantially increase the resistivity of magnets.
By increasing the resistance of the assemblies , the Magnet Power team effectively reduced the eddy current effect, reducing heat output and reducing magnetic losses.
Underthe trend of high speed and high frequency, the resistivity of NdFeb and SmCo magnetis low, resulting in anti eddy current loss and high calorific value.By dividing the magnetand bonding itwithinsulating adhesive,it can efficiently decrease eddy current losses and temperature rise in the magnet. The thickness of the conventional laminated viscoseis approximately 0.08mm.With Magnet Power, the insulation layer can be as thin as 0.03mm,while the magnet monomer has a thickness of 1mm.Also,the overall resistanceis over 200MΩ .

In order to achieve performance goals, designers of high-performance electric machines must balance several challenges including:
1. Thermal Management
2. Increased Power Density
3. Higher Speeds (100K+ RPM)
4. Reduced System Weight
5. Cost / Value Trade-off
